welcome to our blog

Well today is the 20th of Sept. We had a great day in Yellowstone today. Spent 10 hours there and had a wonderful time saw some bison and one that was in the middle of the road and was right next to the car got a number of great pics., a brown bear and her cub up on a hill side she was close enough for me to throw a rock at and hit we watched for about a 1/2 hr. got lots of pictures, we also saw a few elk, a chipmunk, a magpie, a baldeagle or 2, and absolutely beautiful scenery. The autumn colors are beautiful, the geisers spectatcular, beautiful waterfalls, amazing rock formations, and many other sites that were very memorable. We have many pictures to share when we get home.

We hope that everyone at home is doing well. We miss and love you all. Will add more the next time we get wifi and I can get on the puter. Should be in Cody Wyoming tomorrow night. Have a great day all as we definitely will.

welcome to our blog

Hi Everyone

This is the 19th of Sept. and we are finally well on our way.We have 788 miles under our belt and we are having a ball. Barb did have an incident with her two dogs, she was walking them they got excited and ran knocking her on her back. She was ok but a sore butt cheek. We got to Mountain Home Idaho for our 1st night which was spent in a Walmart parking lot. We had a nice dinner outside and watched the sunset. To pass time we went and looked around Walmart not much different than home so no purchases for me.

We had a lot of wind through the night but not much sleep was lost as we were all tired from the night befores sleepless night from excitement. We got up and were ready to leave by 8:30. We had a pretty uneventfull morning of travel until lunch and it kinda went down hill. We stopped for lunch along side the road, had nice lunch and it was time for a walk when again barb hits the ground. This time Kellie her dog gets excited and runs pulling her down for the second time now she has 2 sore butt cheeks and her ribs are sore. She has been icing and feels somewhat better this eve. We get on the road but did not get far when we had to pull over as Jim's fender was lose and in need of repair so we tapped him up and we were off to Craters of the Moon for a fast tour before starting our search for an R.V. repair shop which we found in Idaho Falls finally, and to make a long story short they took good care of him and we got on the road again. We found a place in Island Park Idaho to spend the night . We are about 13 miles outside the west entrance to Yellowstone. We'll visit tomorrow but will let you know more about that later. So keep in touch we love and miss you all. Oh yea J.T. and Eli the dog and lion are having alot of fun and are very glad they found a home with us and our M.H.

I have forgotten to mention that we have been joined on our adventure by some good friends Larry and Donna McCloud and their dog Sasha. They had decided not to go and about 2 weeks ago they decided to go and we are very glad they did. Well that was my final entry any more and this blog will become a novel. Love to all

Today is the 16th of Sept. and we leave on the 18th that means 2 more days til we leave. We are pretty much ready except for putting in some clothes and perishables. Yesterday we had a batman birthday party for our grandson J.T as that was his request. He had a good time and was excited with the whole party thing. We had my sisters and brother in law doug also my parents. We had a bbq and cake and ice cream. It was a good time had by all and a time to see everyone and say good bye before leaving.

Today is my sister Sandra's birthday and her daughter Helen is having a party for her another bbq (only her new husband and her are having a hamburger cook off as they each think their burger is better than the others and we attending are the judges) and cake and ice cream. It will be alot of fun and am looking forward to going.

Well that is the catch up for now. Bye and have a good day as I will.

Welcome to our blog.

Hi to all and welcome to our travel site. Terry has recently retired and we are on the adventure of our lives. We are leaving Springfield Oregon on the 18th of Sept. We plan on traveling the northern states heading east as far as Florida and coming home through the southern states.

This trip all started out with an invite to go to Alabama with Terry's brother Jim his wife Barbara and their 2 dogs Kelly and Jessie to visit his grand daughter. It has grown since then into quite a motor home trip.

We invite you to travel along with us through our blog. We will post pictures and details of our trip as we travel along. This will allow us to keep intouch and let you know where we are on a regular basis. Terry and I hope you will enjoy our travels with us by checking out our blog and sending us information from home.
